all shook up…

At around midnight 2 nights ago – the 13th – I lay in bed dreaming of ships in rough weather, when suddenly I woke up but the dream did not stop. The ships were still being caught in choppy seas getting steadily worse. It was an earthquake and things started banging and falling over punctuated by the odd smashing sound It seemed to go on for about a minute and a half which is unusual for Wellington which usually entertains with short sudden JOLT type earthquakes. Eventually it stopped abruptly and I staggered about checking on our son (who had slept right through it all in blissful oblivion) For the next 24hr there were many aftershocks that threatened to produce more of the same hysterical intensity but this was swiftly replaced by a Northerly gale that brought winds of 140kmh and driving rain….
Evidently this is the start of summer.
Regarding takiri,
after much trial and error I produced 10 half-decent photos that are in-focus and look kinda the same, sufficient for a page eliciting sales (i hope..) My buddy JR in Auckland told me about a little collapsible ‘studio-tent’ for photographing  jewellery and it goes for about $8! a cube in white with a strip of 5v  LED along the top lip diffusing light across the object evenly. We shall see…
